University Vehicles may be requested by...

Vehicle requests may be made up to one semester in advance. Every attempt will be made to ensure availability of vehicles when requests are made at least seven working days in advance. If a vehicle is not available, the customer will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified if a cancellation occurs. A special lease can be arranged for vehicles requested for periods of one month or longer.

Use of Motor Pool Vehicles:

University vehicles may be used for official University business only. Only employees of the University or others acting on behalf of the University are permitted to drive or ride in Motor Pool vehicles. Vehicles may not be used for personal business or pleasure.

A vehicle authorization card is required to use a Motor Pool vehicle. The authorization card must contain 3 signatures: Person renting, person responsible for account, and person(s) driving. Student organization advisors must sign as renter and for the account. Resident Hall advisors must sign as renter and for the account and must reserve the vehicle. Fraternities and Sororities must have signatures of both the advisor and treasurer before reserving.

Motor Pool vehicle operators must be at least 19 years of age. Call 529-6786 for more information.

Bike racks, luggage racks, and trailer hitches are not permitted on any Motor Pool vehicle. Seats may not be removed. No Smoking / No Alcohol / No Pets

Cancellations:

Vehicles reserved for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday must be cancelled by the previous Tuesday morning. All other cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance or the department will be charged $25 per day for sedans and 7 & 8 passenger vans, and $30 for 12-passenger vans. If a weather emergency forces trip cancellation, this charge will be waived.
